Are There Different Variations of Blackjack?
Along with US Blackjack, Perfect Pairs Blackjack, and Vegas Strip Blackjack, there are two additional variations. They are: European Blackjack and Progressive Blackjack.
European Blackjack
Using only four decks that are shuffled after each hand, European Blackjack is very similar to US Blackjack in that you can play up to five hands at once. The rules are the same as US Blackjack and may be applied to most RTG Casino Blackjack Tournaments.
Progressive Blackjack
Utilizing European Blackjack Rules, Progressive Blackjack allows you to place a $1 bet on each hand, in addition to your initial bet. If you win, then a portion of the progressive jackpot is yours. You are still trying to beat the dealer's hand and/or getting as close to 21 or 21 to win. You can play up to 5 hands, and there are four decks in play.
Perfect Pairs Blackjack
Utilizing the rules from Vegas Strip Blackjack, Perfect Pairs Blackjack has a unique feature. You can place a side bet for the first two cards that are dealt that result in a pair. There are also eight decks used rather than the four in US Blackjack.
Vegas Strip Blackjack
Utilizing the rules from US Blackjack, Vegas Strip Blackjack allows the player to double the bet after the first two cards are dealt.
