It’s not over until… yes, until the fat lady sings, or so goes the saying. It was probably only a matter of time until one software provider jumped on that saying as a great starting point for a slot game based on opera, and Microgaming has taken the mantle to give it a shot.
This is one of their older games, so is it worth trying out, or should you go for a more modern title instead?
This game works with a solid format of five reels and 25 paylines.
The default here is two cents, but you can take that down to one cent if you like. The biggest coin value is a quarter. The game also loads with five coins playable per line, but this can be reduced to just one if you wish.
The game logo is used as a wild, with the ability to substitute all but the scatter. Five wilds trigger a 3,000-credit award.
The scatter is the familiar image of the two masks of comedy and tragedy. Three or more of these deliver the free spins feature.
Now, the free spins feature here is not the same as usual. For three scatters, you can win between five and 15 free spins with a multiplier of up to x5. Four scatters will win you between five and 20 free spins, with a multiplier worth up to x5. Finally, five scatters will secure you between nine and 30 free spins, with a multiplier of up to x5. Each option also brings you a bigger potential coin win, as shown in the paytable.
You can also win scatter awards during the free spins, anytime you get three or more of them appearing on the reels. Better still, more wild icons are added into the mix in the free spins feature. You also get stacked wilds on reels two and four to make things even more interesting!
This is an older title from Microgaming, but many classic Microgaming features are there. You get to see how good this software developer is at creating some stunning games that deliver the goods time and time again.
Will you try your luck and see whether you get the comedy and tragedy masks working for you?
