Anchorman Slots

Anchorman Slots is the licensed slot game we never thought would happen or expected, but came into our lives like a big mustache and warmed our hearts as well as our faces. It isn’t going to blow you away with any of its gameplay mechanics or graphics, but it is based on a fittingly funny source material that’s well loved the world over. And for good reason: it’s really, really funny. We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent with it, mostly wishing that they had put a little more into the use of the license. That said, they didn’t do a bad job either. It’s Anchorman! We love it. And feel you will too.

Premise

The premise of Anchorman Slots is the film Anchorman - The Legend of Ron Burgundy. If you haven’t seen it, stop what you’re doing right now and get yourself over to whatever streaming or torrent site you have to so we can put a stop to this problem right here and now. A hilarious spoof of the culture of TV news anchors, Anchorman is a true gem, which had a sequel that held its own as well. A lot of the comedy hinged on the facial expressions and demeanor of the cast, making this slot retain a lot of what made the films great.

Presentation

Graphics in Anchorman Slots are great because it’s a licensed slot. That’s a huge advantage this game has over others. Everything is crisp, clear, colorful, and compelling to look at, which makes your time spent playing all the easier because of how easy they are on the eyes. You’ll remember all the film stills you’ve likely seen time and again, but we feel there’s nothing wrong with that because they did a good job and it’s all still fun to look at. The graphics of the whole thing as far as UI and the rest goes leave something to be desired, but aren’t bad. They’re just not up to the Hollywood standards of the rest of the game.

Mechanics

Gameplay in Anchorman Slots is standard. At 5 reels and 25 pay lines, it does not break the mold there, choosing instead to keep things classy in ways we can respect.

Betting here ranges from thrice a penny to $6, making this an accessible slot that anyone can jump into in hopes of winning a lot of money without worrying about necessarily breaking the bank in the process. Max bets cap out at $150, which tends to be how we rolled when we played it a bunch for our review.

The Bonus Round here is Ron’s Giant Free Spins, which makes us laugh just thinking about it. You match funny things and have a good time, it’s all very well done.

Is it Buggy?

In the time we spent playing this game, we did not encounter any bugs, problems, or errors. We also encountered no issues in processing winnings or payments, and everything ran very smooth just like you would expect across many varied devices in a variety of ecosystems and operating systems.
